The responsibility of the police is not only to maintain law and order but also the role of the police is essential in establishing order in the society, disaster management, traffic control, drug prevention, protection of women and children and increasing social awareness. At the beginning of the Great Liberation War, armed resistance started from Rajarbagh Police Lines. The sacrifice and bravery of police members in the country’s liberation war is our national pride. Today’s new generation is determined to build a happy, prosperous and discrimination-free Bangladesh. The chief guest made this statement at the end of the colorful and enjoyable graduation parade of the 59th Trainee Recruit Constable (TRC) batch of Mirerdanga Police Training Center in Khulna on Thursday morning.
At that time, Khulna Police Training Center Commandant DIG Md. Mahbubur Rahman Bhuiyan, BPM (Bar) was present on the stage with him. At the event, the chief guest presented trophies to Sheikh Abu Turab, the best TRC in smartness, academics and field subjects, and Md. Shakil Hossain, the best TRC in musketry, in recognition of their excellence in various subjects in the basic training of TRCs.

A total of 546 TRC trainee police members participated in the parade after completing basic training in the closing parade. Police Inspector A. Malek Howlader of the Police Training Center served as the parade commander for the closing parade. Earlier, when the chief guest reached Khulna Police Training Center after 8:30 am, PTC Commandant DIG Md. Mahbubur Rahman Bhuiyan, BPM (Bar) welcomed him. The closing parade was attended by Brigadier General Kazi Sajjad Hossain, PSC, Range DIG, Khulna, Md. Rezaul Haque, PPM, and KMP, Khulna, Police Commissioner Md. Zulfiqar Ali Haider.

In addition, senior officers of the military and civilian forces, university teachers, freedom fighters, guardians of trainees, and journalists from print and electronic media, among others, were present on the occasion.

After the closing parade, the chief guest enjoyed the fascinating, attractive and visually stunning Nandan Arms Maneuvering Drill and Unarmed Combat Special Exhibition of the CRCs.
