Five members of the same family killed in road accident in Cox’s Bazar

The entire family was going to visit Cox’s Bazar. But the journey came to a halt before reaching its destination—forever.
Five members of the same family were killed in a head-on collision between a passenger bus and a microbus in Chakaria, Cox’s Bazar.
The joyous journey turned to sorrow in an instant. The accident occurred at around 9:30 am on Wednesday (November 5) at Hanse Dighi Dhala in Chakaria, an accident-prone area on the Cox’s Bazar-Chittagong highway. The deceased are members of the same family from Chauddagram, Cumilla. The deceased are – Ruby Begum (35), wife of businessman Enamul Haque Patwary, his mother and mother-in-law, sister Sadia Haque (24), a 15th batch MBA student of Comilla University, and sister-in-law Farzana Liza (22), a student of the Economics Department of Chittagong University. The head of the family, Enamul Haque Patwary (45), his younger daughter and a brother-in-law were seriously injured. They were sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital after primary treatment. Incidentally, Enamul Haque Patwary is known to be the younger brother of former Chairman of Chauddagram Sadar Union, Abdul Gafur Patwary.
According to eyewitnesses, when the tourist microbus (Dhaka Metro Cha 15-7343) from Comilla to Cox’s Bazar reached Hanzer Dighi Dhala, it collided head-on with a high-speed Marsa Paribahan passenger bus coming from the opposite direction. The microbus was twisted and twisted, and five members of the same family died on the spot.
