A jewelry merchant in Sreepur has alleged that a false case was filed against him. He demanded justice through a press conference on this allegation. The victim, Subrata Chandra Das, read out a written statement at a press conference organized at the Gazipur Press Club auditorium on Tuesday (November 4) afternoon. He is a jewelry merchant. In his written statement, Subrata Chandra Das said that his elder brother Gaurang Chandra Das had been running the shop he owned on rent for a long time. He requested Gaurang to vacate the shop as the rent was due. Later, Gaurang handed over the shop through a commitment on August 30 this year.
Subrata alleged that two months after handing over the shop, Gaurang Chandra Das and his associates attacked the shop on October 31 and looted the goods. Then, a theft case was filed in his (Subrata) name at the Sripur Police Station.
He alleged that there was a conspiracy to frame me and seize the shop that was legally owned by me.
At the press conference, Subrata Chandra Das demanded that the truth be revealed and justice be ensured through a fair investigation.
