On Sunday (November 02, 2025) at 4 pm, Inspector General of Bangladesh Police (IGP) Baharul Alam inspected the training workshop on police efficiency and capacity building for electoral duties organized in view of the upcoming national elections at the POM meeting room of BPM Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Lines.

During the inspection of the training activities of the 6th batch of the three-day training workshop organized under the supervision of the RMP Training School on the instructions of the Police Headquarters, the IGP was accompanied by Police Commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Mohammad Abu Sufian, DIG of Rajshahi Range Mohammad Shahjahan, PPM (Bar), PhD and senior officials of RMP, Rajshahi Range and Rajshahi District Police.

During the visit, the IGP provided important guidelines to the field level police members to ensure a smooth, peaceful and orderly conduct of the upcoming National Assembly elections.

He said, “National elections are an important national responsibility, where the role of the police is very significant.

Every police member stationed in the field during the elections will be a symbol of the people’s trust.”

He also said that every police member must perform their electoral duties by maintaining the highest standards of responsibility, honesty and professionalism.

Referring to the elections as an opportunity, the IGP said that this election is a golden opportunity to correct past mistakes and restore public trust.

At this time, he provided detailed instructions on the tasks of the police during the pre-election, election and post-election periods.
