A special general meeting of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society Bogura Unit was held on Thursday, October 30/25.
The meeting began at the Bogura District Council auditorium under the chairmanship of Bogura Red Crescent Unit Chairman and Deputy Commissioner Hosna Afroza (Joint Secretary).
Rezaul Karim Badsha, former member of the management council of the National Headquarters of the Red Crescent Society, started the meeting by hoisting the national flag and the Red Crescent flag.
Shahadat Hossain, Secretary of the Bogura Red Crescent Unit, delivered the welcome speech.
Bangladesh Red Crescent Society Bogura Unit Vice Chairman Joynal Abedin Chan, Executive Committee Members Maftun Ahmed Khan Rubel, Touhidul Alam Mamun, Dr. Matiur Rahman, Mominur Rashid, Al Mahmud, Rasheda Khatun Rani spoke.
Bangladesh Red Crescent Society Bogura Unit Executive Member Shahid-un-Nabi Salam, Md. Abidur Rahman Sohel, Mahbubur Rahman Choton, Abdus Salek Tota, Habibur Rashid Sarkarsandhan, Life Members of Bogura Unit, Former Youth Chiefs of Youth Red Crescent, Senior Youth Members, Youth Chief of Youth Red Crescent Bogura Unit, Raihan Khandaker, and Youth Members of Bogura Unit were present on the stage at that time.
The special general meeting was conducted by Sikder Rahat Islam, Unit Level Officer of Bogura Unit.
In the second phase, the election of the executive committee (2025-2027) was conducted by the Chief Election Commissioner, District Additional District Election Officer Syed Abu Said. The Election Commissioners were Manjurul Haque Manju, Adv. Abdul Based. The Election Commission Secretary was Sikder Rahat Islam.
As there were no opposing candidates, 7 members of the Executive Committee of the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society Bogra Unit were elected unopposed.
Finally, the Chief Election Commissioner Syed Abu Said announced the names of the elected members. They are Vice Chairman Joynal Abedin Chan, Secretary Shahadat Hossain, Executive Members Rezaul Karim Badsha, Shahid-un-Nabi Salam, AKM Touhidul Alam Mamun, HS Maftun Ahmed Khan Rubel, Abidur Rahman Sohel.
