On Tuesday (October 28), at around 12 noon, the Jago Bahe Teesta Bachai, Bangladesh Press Club event was held at the Mission More, Lalmonirhat District Prana Center. The human chain was presided over by the President of the Bangladesh Press Club Rangpur Divisional Committee and the founder president of the Lalmonirhat district branch, S. R. Shariful Islam Ratan, with the aim of making the Jago Bahe Teesta Bachai movement a success.

The Teesta River is in a state of death during the dry season due to the withdrawal of water upstream. In the dry season, cultivation is disrupted due to lack of water, and in the rainy season, millions of people in the riverbank areas are destitute due to flooding and erosion on the riverbanks due to upstream water. This long-standing suffering of the people of Teestapar is not ending. But the people of Teestapar are disappointed due to the complications arising over whether China will do the Teesta Master Plan or India.
