A graduate and postgraduate in Mass Communication and Journalism from the University of Dhaka, Nilay never entered the field of journalism. Instead, his dream of exploring the world led him to a completely different path one that allows him to experience every corner of the planet.
Nilay’s love for travel began in childhood. Fascinated by the world’s history, wildlife, and diverse cultures, he grew up dreaming of distant lands and people living in harmony with nature. That passion guided his career choice, leading him to the travel and tourism industry a field that could turn his dreams into reality.
Today, Nilay serves as the Executive Director of Bengal Vista, a Bangladesh-based travel agency known for organizing global group tours. The company is headed by Salahuddin Sumon, Bangladesh’s most-followed travel content creator. Together, they have inspired thousands of young Bangladeshis to discover the beauty of the world through travel.
Nilay has already explored many of the world’s most remarkable destinations. He has traveled extensively across India and China, the two most populated nations on Earth, gaining deep insight into their rich traditions and cultural heritage. His journeys have also taken him to Tibet, where he reached the sacred Mount Kailash an experience he describes as one of the most spiritual moments of his life.
In addition to visiting the eternal grasslands of Mongolia, Nilay has ventured deep into the Himalayas and into the remote regions of Southeast Asia, where he spent time with local communities and learned about their unique lifestyles. These experiences, he says, have taught him more about humanity and humility than any classroom could.
Now, Nilay focuses on sharing his passion with others through worldwide group tours arranged by Bengal Vista. His goal is to help people travel not just for leisure, but for learning to connect with cultures, history, and nature in meaningful ways.
