The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-15) has arrested Iqbal Hossain, the main accused in the sacrificial cow robbery and murder of teenager Salauddin Parvez in Kawarkhop area of ​​Ramu upazila of Cox’s Bazar.
RAB said that the arrested Iqbal was hiding in the disguise of a mosque muezzin in Hazirkhil area of ​​Saral Union of Banshkhali police station in Chittagong.
With the help of secret information and information technology, a special operation team of RAB-15 conducted an operation in the early hours of October 21 (Monday) and arrested him.

According to Faruk, Assistant Superintendent of Police, on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, around 1 am, robber Zahid and his accomplices attacked locals in the forest office area of ​​Kawarkhop Union in Ramu.
At that time, the locals were returning with sacrificial cows when the robbers attacked them with country-made weapons, knives and sticks.
Salauddin Parvez (17) was seriously injured in this and was later declared dead after being taken to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital.
His father Ahmed Hossain is also undergoing treatment for his injuries.
During initial interrogation after his arrest, Iqbal confessed that he was an active member of robber Zahid’s group.
On the night of the murder, he and Zahid attacked Salauddin Parvez with knives and looted the cows.
Arrested Iqbal Hossain (22) is the son of the deceased Hossain of Gachhuapara village in Kawarkhop Union in Ramu Upazila of Cox’s Bazar.
RAB said that the arrested accused has been handed over to Ramu Police Station for further legal action.
