A training session for the Municipal Committee on the implementation guidelines of the Mother and Child Support Fund program implemented by the Department of Women’s Affairs was held in Kaliganj, Gazipur.

On Wednesday (October 22) morning, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs and Project Director of SIMCBP, Dr. Prakash Kanti Chowdhury, virtually joined the training workshop organized by the Upazila Administration and the Department of Women Affairs with all members of Kaliganj Municipality, mothers and children, and beneficiaries at the Upazila Parishad Conference Room as the chief guest.

The training workshop, chaired by Upazila Executive Officer ATM Kamrul Islam, was conducted by Upazila Women’s Affairs Officer Shahnaz Akhter.

At that time, Kapasia Upazila Women’s Affairs Officer Fatema Tuz Johra, Upazila Engineer Md. Rezaul Haque, Upazila Social Service Officer Afroza Begum, Upazila Youth Development Officer Md. Ismail Bhuiyan, along with all members of the municipal committee, mothers and children, and beneficiaries were present.

Upazila Women’s Affairs Officer Shahnaz Akhter said that this program was formulated with the aim of protecting the health of mothers and children, meeting nutritional needs, and intellectual development up to the age of 4, with a focus on the first 1,000 days after birth, starting from the fourth month of pregnancy.
