National Road Safety Day celebrated in Chapainawabganj

The National Road Safety Day was celebrated in Chapainawabganj with the theme “Follow the law on the road, return home safely”. On the occasion of the day, Chapainawabganj Circle (BRTA) organized a public awareness rally and discussion meeting to reduce road accidents. On Wednesday (October 22) morning, Chapainawabganj Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) Circle, with the overall support of the Deputy Commissioner, started the day by releasing balloons from the DC office premises. After that, a colorful rally went around the important roads of the district town and ended at the same place. Later, a discussion meeting was held in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner. Chapainawabganj Additional District Magistrate Anisur Rahman presided over the function and Chapainawabganj Deputy Commissioner Ujjal Kumar Ghosh spoke as the chief guest. Civil Surgeon Dr. K.M. Shahab Uddin, Sub-Divisional Engineer of Roads and Townships Department Nahinur Rahman, Police Inspector City and Vehicles Shafiqul Islam, Chapainawabganj District Road Transport Owners Group President Aminul Islam Sentu, Chapainawabganj District Motor Workers Union President Saidur Rahman and others. Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) Chapainawabganj Circle Assistant Director (Engineering) Shahzaman Haque delivered the welcome speech.
Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) Motor Vehicle Inspector Abdul Khabiru and Mechanical Engineering Abu Huzaifa were also present at the event. In his speech to the guests, he said that due to slight carelessness and negligence, we are constantly falling victim to accidents. Everyone’s awareness and willingness to prevent road accidents later. He said all these things because we all become aware of road use, obey traffic laws and signs.
