Environment – No one will be allowed to dominate by destroying it – Apel Mahmud
A discussion meeting was held in the tourist city of Cox’s Bazar on the topic of what to do to prevent environmental and ecological disasters.
The Bangladesh Environmental Lawyers Association (BELA) organized the meeting at a hotel in the city on Thursday morning, October 9.
Cox’s Bazar Development Authority (CoxDA) Chairman Salah Uddin was the chief guest at the discussion meeting chaired by former mayor of Cox’s Bazar Municipality Sarwar Kamal.
Additional Deputy Inspector General (ADIG) of the Tourist Police, Cox’s Bazar region, Apel Mahmud spoke as a special guest at the BELA discussion meeting.
ADIG Apel Mahmud said that no one will be allowed to dominate by destroying the environment.
The Cox’s Bazar sea beach will be redesigned, taking care not to cause any harm to the environment.
The Cox’s Bazar Region Tourist Police is working to ensure that no evil forces can harm the tourism industry.
The Cox’s Bazar Region Tourist Police and the relevant administration are working together to ensure that tourists from around the world, as well as the country’s travel enthusiasts, can visit the Cox’s Bazar sea beach without any problems.
The meeting, moderated by BELLA’s Field Coordinator Mamun Khan, was attended by Cox’s Bazar Additional Superintendent of Police Ahmed Peer, Cox’s Bazar Chamber of Commerce President Abu Morshed Chowdhury Khoka, Cox’s Bazar Deputy Director Khandaker Mahmud Pasha, Cox’s Bazar Deputy Commissioner’s Representative Executive Magistrate Mirza Mohammad Tausif Sharif Snigdha and others.
It was informed at the meeting that Bela has filed 23 cases to protect the environment and environment of Cox’s Bazar by cutting down mountains to build residential areas, and to prevent encroachment on beaches and rivers.
Which is ongoing and these cases are playing an effective role in protecting the environment.
More than a hundred representatives of various classes and professions, including government and non-government institutions and organizations, representatives of environmental organizations and social organizations, participated in the meeting.
