World Teachers’ Day-2025 was celebrated in Gopalganj with a colorful procession and discussion meeting.
This day was celebrated jointly by the Gopalganj District Administration and the District Education Office.
On the occasion of the day, a colorful procession led by Gopalganj Deputy Commissioner and learned District Magistrate (Joint Secretary) Muhammad Kamruzzaman took out from in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office on Sunday (October 5) morning under the theme “Restructuring Teaching as a Supporting Profession” and returned there after parading the important roads of the city.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner and learned District Magistrate Muhammad Kamruzzaman spoke as the chief guest at the discussion meeting held at the Deputy Commissioner’s conference room “Swachhta”.
The colorful procession and discussion meeting, chaired by District Education Officer Khondoker Ruhul Amin, was attended by Deputy Director (Deputy Secretary) of the Local Government Department Biswajit Kumar Pal, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Ruli Biswas, Principal of Gopalganj Government College Professor Md. Ohid Alam Laskar, Principal of Gopalganj Salehia Kamil Madrasa Dr. Abu Sayeed Md. Abdullah, Principal of SM Model Government High School Md. Mostain Billah, Principal of Gopalganj Swarnakoli High School M Mahe Alam and teachers of various educational institutions.
At this time, the speakers said that a skilled teacher can play an important role in building the society and the country, but there is a shortage of skilled teachers in our educational institutions.
To make teachers skilled, the government Patronage is needed, as well as proper evaluation of teachers.
Meanwhile, colorful processions and discussion meetings were held in Muksudpur Upazila, Kashiani, Tungipara and Kotalipara Upazilas of Gopalganj to celebrate World Teachers’ Day-2025.
