The strong commitment of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has been proven once again in the overall plan of Ramu Sector to prevent drugs, human trafficking and any kind of crime at the border.

In a sting operation by Teknaf Battalion (2 BGB), 6 active members of a human trafficking ring were arrested from Mistripara area of ​​Shahparidwip. Shamsunnahar (35), wife of Mohammad Akher, an expatriate from Teknaf, Hosne Ara (31), wife of deceased Jalal of Balukhali FDMN Camp No. 20 of Balukhali Rohingya Camp in Ukhia, Nurunnisa (49), wife of deceased Syed Akbar of Shalbagan FDMN Camp in Teknaf, Mohammad Ismail (50), son of Abul Hasem of Balukhali FDMN Camp No. 20 of Ukhia, Harun (35), son of Abu Samad of Jamtali FDMN Camp No. 15 of Ukhia, Yusuf Ali (47), son of Syed Ahmed of Shalbagan FDMN Camp No. 26 of Teknaf.

At that time, Kalu Mia (35) and Hashem Molla (25) along with two others escaped.

Those arrested in the operation have been handed over to the police station and legal action is being taken against them.

The BGB said that such operations will continue in the future.
