On the occasion of Durga Puja, financial support was handed over to the presidents and general secretaries of 20 Puja Mandaps in Nakla on behalf of Fahim Chowdhury, a BNP nomination aspirant for the Sherpur-2 (Nakla-Nalitabari) constituency. Before the distribution, Durga Puja greetings were exchanged with leaders of the Upazila Puja Celebration Front, Puja Mandap committees and members of the Hindu community. The program was held on Monday afternoon at the temporary office of the Upazila BNP. Former convener of Nakla Upazila BNP Khorshedur Rahman presided over the event, while former district BNP member Enamul Haque Ripon conducted the program. Former secretary of Upazila BNP Mahmudul Haque Dulal, Upazila Puja Celebration Front leader Debajit Poddar Jhumur and several others addressed the gathering. Leaders of Upazila BNP, Jubo Dal, Chhatra Dal, Swechchhasebak Dal, Krishak Dal, along with presidents and general secretaries of all Puja Mandap committees and members of the Hindu community were present.
