A rally and discussion meeting was held in Munshiganj on International Right to Information Day.
The day was celebrated on Sunday, September 28, organized by the Munshiganj District Administration and inspired by Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB).
The rally was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s office premises at 10 am and the discussion meeting was held in the Deputy Commissioner’s conference room.
Additional District Magistrate Md. Rezaul Karim presided over the discussion meeting.
Additional Superintendent of Police of Munshiganj Sadar Circle Mohammad Billal Hossain (PPM) was present as a special guest in the meeting.
SANAC member Muhammad Nurunnabi Munna read out a concept paper on the demands of TIB and SANAC.
In the discussion meeting, SANAC Munshiganj Area Coordinator Md. Mahbub Hossain presented the report and recommendations of the observation of the Youth Engagement and Support (YES) Group of SANAC on the Munshiganj District Portal.
In the open discussion, BRAC District Coordinator Md. Al-Amin called for consistency between the information in both the English and Bangla versions of the Munshiganj District Portal.
Munshiganj YES party leader Munna Dhali shared experiences in the light of the observation of the YES Group at the meeting.
Meanwhile, to ensure the right to information of the people on the occasion of the day, an anti-corruption campaign was conducted at the 250-bed General Hospital under the special initiative of the students of the YES Group of Munshiganj.
