A protest rally was held on Friday afternoon after Friday prayers by the District Jamaat-e-Islami, organized by the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Netrakona District Branch, demanding the legal basis of the July Charter and elections through the PR system, including 5-point demands.

After Friday prayers at the old Collectorate ground in the district town, all the leaders and activists gathered and took the protest procession, circled the main roads of the district town, and then came to the district press club for a protest rally.

Under the chairmanship of Netrokona District Jamaat Ameer Professor Maulana Sadek Ahmed Haris and moderated by Secretary Maulana Mahabubur Rahman, former District Jamaat Ameer and Mymensingh Region Team Member and Jamaat’s nominated candidate for Netrokona-2 constituency Professor Maulana Enamul Haque spoke as the chief guest.

Among others, District Jamaat Working Committee Member Maulana Nurullah Bhuiyan, Md. Nazrul Islam, District Labor Department President Maulana Kamal Uddin, Municipal Jamaat Ameer Md. Rafiqul Islam, Sadar Upazila Jamaat Ameer Maulana Wali Ullah, Municipal Jamaat Nayeb-e-Ameer Dr. Abul Hossain Talukder, local leaders, leaders of various upazilas of the district and media personnel were present.
