Journalist Kazi Abul Monsur received the “Lokman Khan Sherwani” award at a colorful ceremony in Chittagong city at a gathering of distinguished people.

Social worker, writer, & teacher with many qualities D. Anowara Alam, she said that journalist Kazi Abul Monsur is an honest, courageous, and unselfish journalist.
For the past 27 years, he has been working quietly. It is difficult to find journalists like him in our society. Today, we are proud to present the Lokman Khan Sherwani Award to journalist Kazi Abul Monsur.
He never did journalism with the hope of receiving an award. Chittagong Academy is also proud to present the award to journalist Kazi Abul Monsur.

He said these words while presenting the Lokman Khan Sherwani Journalism Award at the Chittagong Academy auditorium on Thursday.

The event was hosted by poet and journalist Rashed Rouf, chaired by Academy Director General Jahangir Alam.

The speakers included educationist principal Rita Dutta, Dr. Mohit ul Alam, poet Nesar Ahmed, poet Arun Shil, Chowdhury Rawshan Islam, and others.

Expressing his feelings, journalist Kazi Abul Monsur said, this award is one of the achievements of my journalistic life. I have never done journalism thinking about the award. I am continuing my journalism honestly thinking about the country and the nation. He said, the sacrifice of the family behind this journalism award should not be forgotten. Many things have been written at great risk. It is very difficult to do journalism honestly in a country like Bangladesh. Kazi Abul Monsur praised the Chittagong Academy and said that the introduction of this award by the Academy has increased the enthusiasm among journalists in Chittagong. He thanked all the directors of the Chittagong Academy.

Later, the guests collectively presented the award crest, cash award, and certificate to Kazi Abul Monsur.
