Bangladesh Mofussal Journalists Union’s Cox’s Bazar District Committee Formed

A 31-member committee of Bangladesh Mofussal Journalists Union (BMUJ) Cox’s Bazar district branch has been formed.

President Abdul Alim Nobel , District Correspondent National Dainik Amader Bangla and Dainik Amader Chattogram and Editor Porikolpito Barta.

Senior Vice President SM Humayun Kabir Staff Reporter, Cox’s Bazar Daily Morning Glory & District Correspondent Dainik Ganomukti. Vice President Sahab Uddin Sikder, General Secretary Alhaj Habibur Rahman Sohel, Staff Reporter Asian TV, Cox’s Bazar District Correspondent, Banglabazar Patrika.

Tuesday, September 23, 2025, the representative meeting of Bangladesh Mofussal Journalists Union Cox’s Bazar district branch was held at 10 pm in the conference room of the star-class Ramada Hotel in Cox’s Bazar.

A total of 31 members were formed for a term of 2 (two) years by voice vote, with Abdul Alim Nobel as the president, SM Humayun Kabir as the senior vice president and Alhaj Habibur Rahman Sohel as the general secretary.

The chief guest was Alhaj Sohel Ahmed, founder and president of Bangladesh Mofussal Journalists Union, Mosharraf Hossain Nilu, joint general secretary of the central committee, and Sohag Arefin, organizing secretary, and members and journalist leaders of Cox’s Bazar District Committee.

The president of the central committee, Alhaj Sohel Ahmed, gave a guiding speech. He called on journalists to unite, emphasize their strong determination to realize their rights, and emphasize social responsibility and professionalism.

At this time, the newly elected president and general secretary sought everyone’s cooperation in objective journalism, including standing by the persecuted journalists.
