Muksudpur Thana Police Gets Land Encroached After 90 Years
After more than 90 years, the Muksudpur Thana Police has finally got hold of 7.5 percent of the land of Muksudpur Thana in Gopalganj. On Monday (September 22), the people illegally occupying the land of Muksudpur Thana left the land and moved elsewhere. Later, Muksudpur Thana Police got hold of their land. It is learned that since the Muksudpur Thana started its activities after 1917, some local families have taken shelter in the abandoned land next to the police station and set up business shops. Several years ago, the police station authorities had given them notices several times and asked them to vacate the land. But in the past, they have been reluctant to vacate the land. Recently, when Muksudpur Thana Police discussed with them and asked them to vacate the land, they voluntarily left the occupied land and moved elsewhere on Monday (September 22). Later, the police station police got back 7.5 percent of their occupied land. Muksudpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mustafa Kamal said in this regard, we got back our land after a long time. We were constantly at risk of security as they were occupying the police station land. Since their establishment is right next to our police station boundary, we could not build a boundary wall. Finally, they voluntarily gave up our land after negotiations. As a result, we got our land back, albeit after a long time. Now, if the boundary wall is built there, the security of the police station will increase.
