Another robbery on Eidgaon-Eidgarh road, 2 motorcyclists kidnapped
Two youths were robbed and kidnapped by barricades on the Eidgaon-Eidgarh road in Cox’s Bazar. On Monday (September 22) at 9:30 am, an organized gang of robbers kidnapped 2 motorcyclists in broad daylight at Himchhari Dhala. The abductees are Moktar Ahmed (30), son of Abdu Shukur of East Rajghat area of Eidgarh Union, and Helal Uddin (26), son of the deceased Mohammad Hossain of Charpara area. According to eyewitnesses, the two men were going to Eidgaon from Eidgarh on a motorcycle. When they reached Himchhari Dhala, a group of armed robbers stopped them. At that time, they took the two hostage and took them into the hilly jungle. Meanwhile, newly appointed Eidgaon Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Farida Yasmin said, “We launched an operation as soon as we received the news. The incident is being viewed with great seriousness and efforts are underway to rescue the abductees. Incidentally, the Eidgaon-Eidgarh road in Cox’s Bazar is now a source of fear for passengers due to robberies, kidnappings and extortion. Which has also created panic among the locals.
