Protest meeting against false case against BNP leader in Gabtali
A false case has been filed by the Awami League family against Sultan Ahmed Hafiza, the president of Ward No. 5 BNP under Mahishaban Union of Gabtali, Bogura, and his family. In protest, a protest meeting was held at the local high school hall at the initiative of Mahishaban Union BNP yesterday. Upazila BNP Vice President and former UP Chairman Nurul Islam presided over the meeting, and Upazila BNP Publicity Secretary and Union BNP General Secretary MR Islam Ripon spoke as the chief guest. Under the leadership of Union BNP Organizing Secretary Engineer Zahurul Islam, the event was attended by Mahishaban UP Chairman Abdul Majid Mondal, Upazila BNP Co-Organizing Secretary Abu Taleb Shahin, Upazila BNP leader Zahur Ahmed Tofi, Union BNP Vice-President Ramzan Ali, Joint Secretary Abul Kalam Azad, Co-Organizing Secretary Abdur Razzak, BNP leaders Khairuzzaman, Abdul Malek, Shahjahan Ali, Jamal Uddin Mondal, Upazila Volunteer Party Joint Convener Arafat Rahman, Union Jubo Dal Convener Hasanur Rahman, Union Volunteer Party Convener Ataur Rahman Khokon, Faruk Ahmed and other leaders at various levels of BNP and Anga Dal. BNP leader Sultan Ahmed Hafiza said that Mahishaban Union Juba League General Secretary Sultan Mahmud’s younger brother, local ward Awami League leader Sabuj Sakidar’s wife Papia Khatun filed a false case against us at Gabtali Model Police Station on September 18/25, alleging assault with intent to kill.
