On Wednesday (September 17), at 3 pm, a voluntary organization, Lal Sabuj Unnayan Sangha, took an oath to build better character by saying no to drugs, child marriage and juvenile crime at the Netrakona Collectorate School in Sadar Upazila of the district. At the time, the program was inaugurated by planting Bakul tree saplings in the school grounds and gifting saplings to the students. The program was attended by the school’s headmaster Amlendu Sarkar, founder and central president of Lal Sabuj Unnayan Sangha Kawsar Alam Sohel, organizing secretary of the organization’s Debidwar branch Farhad Sarkar, members Kamruzzaman Rakib, Mehedi Hasan Rafi, Sarwar, Siam, Sameer, Farhan and others. Central president of Lal Sabuj Unnayan Sangha Kawsar Alam Sohel said that all the members of the organization are students. They are distributing saplings and awareness among students across the country with the money they save for a day’s tiffin. A team of Lal Sabuj including Kawsar is on a divisional tour of Mymensingh, they are organizing sapling awareness programs and anti-drug programs in various schools. The students took an oath to show red cards to drugs, child marriage and juvenile crime and to awaken patriotism.
