Ramu Battalion (30 BGB) arrests one with a large quantity of Burmese Yaba

Border Guard Bangladesh’s Cox’s Bazar Region, Ramu Battalion (30 BGB) is always vigilant and vigilantly guarding the southernmost Bangladesh-Myanmar border of Bangladesh.
In addition to border security, Ramu Battalion has earned great praise in the civilian community for its proper and effective professional performance in combating smuggling, narcotics, illegal infiltration and inter-state border crimes.

In continuation of this, Friday, on 12 September 2025, Ramu Battalion (30 BGB) conducted a raid at the Marichya Checkpost and was able to arrest 01 accused with 26700 pieces of Burmese Yaba.
On 12 September 2025 at 15.30, based on intelligence information, a suspicious CNG was seized by strengthening patrolling activities at the Marichya Joint Check Post under the direction of Lt. Col. Kazi Mahtab Uddin Ahmed under the leadership of Assistant Director Md. Kabir Hossain under the command of Ramu Battalion (30 BGB).

Passenger Md. Hasan Lalu (47), father- Md. Nur Hossain, village- Dargachhara, post office- Mitha Paniri Chhara, police station- Teknaf, district- Cox’s Bazar, when suspected, he denied it during initial interrogation.

Later, after a thorough search, 26700 pieces of Burmese Yaba worth 80,10,000/- were recovered from his body in a specially hidden state.
