Rubel Khan, Purbadhala (Netrakona)
An unidentified woman (30) was killed in a road accident in Purbadhala, Netrakona.

The accident occurred at around 8:45 am on Tuesday (September 2) at the Ilashpur intersection on the Shyamganj-Birisiri highway.

According to police and local sources, the deceased woman was walking from Purbadhala intersection towards Raja Bazar.
At that time, a passenger bus named “Maharaj” (Dhaka Metro-Cha-8843) going from Mymensingh to Birisiree ran over her. She died on the spot.

After the accident, Purbadhala Fire Service personnel reached the spot and informed the police station. Later, the police recovered the body.

Purbadhala Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Nurul Alam confirmed the truth of the incident and said that the identity of the deceased woman has not been identified yet.
The bus driver and his assistant are absconding in this incident.
The bus has been impounded and the body has been taken into police custody.
