Two Union Awami League leaders resign through press conference in Muksudpur

Two Awami League leaders announced their resignations through a press conference in Jalirpar Union of Muksudpur Upazila of Gopalganj. The leaders announced their resignations by reading a written statement at a press conference at the Bangladesh Journalists Club (BJC) southern regional head office in Jollirpar, Muksudpur, at 4 pm on Saturday (August 30). Abdus Salam Fakir, the former vice-president of Ward No. 7 of Jalirpar Union No. 17, Awami League, read out a written statement at the press conference. At that time, he announced his voluntary resignation from the post of Vice President due to various personal and family reasons, including old age-related physical problems. From now on, he voluntarily resigns from all Awami League activities. Present at the press conference, Mohiuddin Sheikh (Mayur), the former Forest and Environment Affairs Secretary of Ward No. 7 of Jalirpar Union, read out a written statement and announced his voluntary resignation from the post and all Awami League activities, citing personal and family reasons. Media personnel working in various electronic and print media in the district and upazila were present at the time.
