The membership renewal and new member recruitment program of Ramu Upazila BNP in Cox’s Bazar has been inaugurated. In continuation of the central agenda, on the afternoon of Friday, August 29, the program was inaugurated as the chief guest at the local Ramu Khizari Adarsh High School auditorium by BNP Central Executive Committee Fisheries Affairs Secretary and former Cox’s Bazar Sadar MP Lutfur Rahman Kajal, while former Central Chhatra Dal Vice President Selina Sultana Nishita was present as the main speaker. In his speech as the chief guest, Lutfur Rahman Kajal said that the Election Commission has already announced the election roadmap. Therefore, everyone must be prepared for the elections. To brighten the image of the party among the people, invitations of sheaves of rice must be delivered to people’s homes in villages. He said that a conspiracy is underway to thwart the long-awaited elections for which BNP leaders and activists have been campaigning against fascism for 17 years. All leaders and activists must be careful in this regard. BNP central leader Lutfur Rahman Kajal said, “We need the cooperation of all of you to strengthen BNP, you are the key to BNP, everyone will have to work together to bring national hero Tarique Rahman to power in the coming days.” Tarique Rahman’s 31-point message must be delivered to every home. He also said that the BNP is a liberal and pro-Bangladesh party, and extortion, tender rigging, and any irregularities will not be allowed from within the party. The Awami League will never be reinstated in Bangladeshi politics. And therefore, in the coming days, BNP must be formed as a soldier of Shaheed Zia’s ideology and under the instructions of Tarique Zia. Addressing the administration, he said that fascism did not fall on August 5 to harass innocent people, but rather a revolution took place in this country with the conviction of building a beautiful new Bangladesh. The inaugural ceremony, chaired by Upazila BNP convener Moktar Ahmed and moderated by Member Secretary Abul Bashar Babu, was addressed by former Upazila BNP president Saiful Alam, former general secretary Meraj Ahmed Mahin Chowdhury, BNP leader Forkan Ahmed, BNP leader Faridul Alam, Abdul Karim Kong, Abdur Rahim Chairman, Abdul Alim, Mohibullah, Faisal Quader, Dr. Ibrahim Babul, M Abdullah Al Mamun, Syed Hossain, Golam Kabir, Mirza Nurul Absar, Shah Nur Uddin Babu, Enamul Haque, Kamal Uddin Chairman, District Jubo Dal Vice President Javed Iqbal, District Chhatra Dal Former President Shahadat Ripon, Saimum Islam Shahin, Upazila Jubo Dal convener Zahir Alam, BNP leader Manjur Alam, Krishak Dal leader Halimur Rahman Miyaji, Chhatra Dal leader Nurul Amin, women’s party leaders Farida Yasmin, Rabeya Bhsli, Nazma Akhter, among others.
