Abu Mushab Mohammad Haider Khan, the headmaster of Semia Government Primary School in Barhatta Upazila of the district, has been accused of being an assistant teacher in various departments. The headmaster often leaves the school for processions, meetings, and homeopathic treatment. According to the complaint dated 9-8-25, assistant teacher Rikta Begum has been working at this school for a long time. The students said that the headmaster had been abusive towards the assistant teacher, Madam, on various occasions, including misbehaving with her. When he told the other teachers about the fact that he often teased her, they suddenly got angry with him and harassed him about leave and salary.
Some uneducated, barbaric, extremist people from the village called in and threatened the teacher. Meanwhile, if the headmaster applies for three days of casual leave due to illness or five days of casual leave to the Assistant Upazila Education Officer, he will not approve or recommend it. here was no one in the office except the principal when he pushed the assistant teacher into the office room. When they came to protest, Masud Karim, their son and husband, was thrown out of school by some extremists from the village. Assistant teacher Rikta Begum demands relief and justice for the headmaster’s various extremist behaviors and the unexpected and inhumane environment he has created by depriving the assistant teacher of her fair rights. In addition, he is currently hospitalized after being attacked by the headmaster. Regarding this, head teacher Abu Mushab Mohammad Haider Khan said that after giving the assistant teacher leave, she demanded additional leave. In addition, the assistant teacher’s husband, Masud Karim, and his son came to the school and harassed her. District Education Officer Shahidul Azam said that the complaints of both are being investigated. Action will be taken against whoever is found guilty.
