Kishoreganj assistant teacher summoned to explain

The Upazila Education Office has summoned an assistant teacher in Kishoreganj, Nilphamari, to explain various allegations including taking bribes by showing the lure of a job and taking bribes.
This information was given in a notification signed by Upazila Assistant Education Officer Motahar Hossain on August 20.
The notification said that Mizanur Rahman, an assistant teacher of Madhyarajib Adarsh Government Primary School, has been involved in a bribery business for a long time, giving bribes to the complainant by showing the lure of a job and keeping the complainant as a witness. When the person who received the money could not return the money, he used various means of pressure, abused the complainant in obscene language and beat him with a stick, and threatened to tear the complainant’s SSC exam admit card and not allow him to participate in the exam.
On Saturday, July 26, at 9:30 am, the complainant was found alone and was beaten indiscriminately. When his father came forward and heard his screams, he also beat him. In this regard, Upazila Assistant Education Officer Motahar Hossain said that such behavior is against the Government Servants Discipline and Appeal Rules 2018 and is tantamount to misconduct. Therefore, it has been asked to respond within 03 (three) working days of receiving the letter as to why departmental action should not be recommended against the teacher in light of the Government Servants Discipline and Appeal Rules 2018.
