Tri-annual general meeting of the Durgapur Upazila Motor Vehicle Employees Union in Netrakona was held. The general meeting was held at the organization’s office premises in Birishiri area on Wednesday. All the worker members, including 2574, were present at this general meeting. General meeting was chaired by Abdul Jalil, President of the District Motor Vehicle Employees Union, and moderated by Babul Mia, General Secretary of the Upazila Motor Vehicle Employees Union. The following spoke: Nazrul Islam Akanji, Advisor of the Upazila Motor Vehicle Employees Union, Saiful Islam, General Secretary of the District Motor Vehicle Workers Union, Bachchu Mia, Executive President of the Upazila Motor Vehicle Workers Union, Babul Mia, Joint Secretary Billal Mia, Assistant Secretary Atiqur Rahman (Jamal), Publicity Secretary Russell Mia, Treasurer Osman Gani, Office Secretary Ali-ul Azim. In addition, leaders of the District Motor Vehicle Employees Union were present. The annual income and expenditure account is presented at this general meeting. After various and organizational discussions, Abdul Jalil, president of the District Motor Vehicle Workers Union, dissolved the current committee of the Upazila Motor Vehicle Workers Union and announced a new convening committee to conduct the elections.
