On Tuesday (August 19), at 8:30 pm, the Convening Committee of District Freedom Fighter Command exchanged views with journalists at Joypurhat Press Club auditorium. After a long 4 years, the ad hoc Committee of Joypurhat district freedom fighters’ Sangsad was formed. Earlier, the list of 11 members signed by the Convener of the Freedom Fighters’ Central Command Council, Naeem Jahangir, and Member Secretary, Sadeq Ahmed Khan, was handed over to the District Commissioner Afroza Akhter Chowdhury by district commander of the convening committee, Jahrul Alam Tarafdar Ruku.
Then, Police Super Muhammad Abdul Wahab was greeted with a bouquet of flowers. Joypurhat Press Club President assistant freedom fighter Abubakar Siddique, District BNP Joint Convener Masud Rana Pradhan and other leaders were present at the time. The members of the convening committee are – Convener Jahurul Alam Tarafdar Ruku, joint convener Mahbubul Alam, member secretary Nazrul Haider, Members-Abdur Rob Bulu, Mozaffar Ahmed, Mojibul Haque Majnu, Nazrul Islam, Azizur Rahman, Hafizur Rahman Hapu, Abdul Baten and Manjur Rahman.
