Approval of the Cox’s Bazar District Committee of the National Journalists’ Association

The central committee has approved the full 51-member committee of the Cox’s Bazar District Committee of the National Journalists’ Association. Md. Khorshed Alam became the president and Md. Osman Gani (Ili) took charge as the general secretary for the fourth time. After the committee approved it, a view-sharing meeting was held at the organization’s own office on Tuesday (August 19). Senior journalist and President of the Coastal Journalists Forum, Iqbal Bahar, was the chief guest at the meeting. The meeting was presided over by newly elected President Md. Khorshed Alam and moderated by General Secretary Md. Osman Gani (Ili). At the end of the ceremony, the newly elected committee leaders were greeted with flowers and sweet greetings were given to everyone present. Speakers at the meeting said that the journalistic community is the mirror of the nation. This committee will play an important role in establishing the rights of journalists while maintaining the unity and transparency of the organization.
