Country in the era of fuel oil transportation through pipelines.A 250-kilometer-long new fuel oil pipeline project has been inaugurated.
Muhammad Fauzul Kabir Khan, Advisor to the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, inaugurated the project at the main fuel oil installation (MI) in Patenga area of Chittagong on Saturday (August 16) morning.Through this project, Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) has reached a large capacity in the transportation of diesel from Chittagong to Dhaka. Earlier, it took more than 48 hours to transport it by water. In which, in addition to the risk of accidents, incidents of oil theft in the name of system loss were almost heard, but now through this pipeline project, diesel can be transported from Chittagong to Dhaka in just 12 hours, much less than before. Those involved in the project believe that the implementation of the project will reduce the time gap and save at least 200 crore taka annually in fuel oil transportation costs.
