Last rites of Kotalipara’s brave freedom fighter Parimal Chandra Biswas performed with state honors

The last rites of freedom fighter Parimal Chandra Biswas, a descendant of Kotalipara Upazila in Gopalganj, have been performed with state honours. (August 16) At 11 am, the Kotalipara Upazila administration performed the last rites of the brave freedom fighter Parimal Chandra Biswas with full state honours. Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Masum Billah and Kotalipara Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Hafizur Rahman along with other administrative officers and employees presented him with a guard of honor with state honors and paid floral tributes. At that time, the heroic freedom fighters of Kotalipara Upazila, including Dulal Chandra Biswas, Madhusudhan Biswas (Montu), Prabhat Chandra Roy, Narayan Chandra Bagchi, Narendra Nath Baroi, Mojaser Hossain Thakur, Sheikh Abdul Mannan, Abul Kalam Azad Daria, and numerous relatives and friends were present. It is worth noting that on Friday (August 15), he suddenly suffered a stroke at his home and fell seriously ill. His relatives rushed him to the Kotalipara Upazila Health Complex, where the doctor on duty declared him dead. The recently deceased freedom fighter Parimal Chandra Biswas was the son of the late Priyo Lal Biswas and Maharani Biswas of Bhuter Bari village, ward no. 9 of Sadulapur union, Kotalipara upazila. He was born on July 10, 1953. In 1971, responding to the call of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, he participated in the great Liberation War and, by risking his life, he liberated the people of this country from the hands of the enemy and the Pakistani occupying forces. His sacrifice will be unforgettable forever. At the time of his death, he was survived by a son and two daughters, as well as numerous relatives and well-wishers.
