Classes for the first year of Bachelor (Honours) students for the academic year 2024-25 have begun at Gopalganj Science and Technology University (GSTU). On this occasion, new students were officially welcomed to various departments from Monday morning (August 11). University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Hossain Uddin Shekhar and Treasurer Professor Dr. Mohammad Nazmul Ahsan visited various departments and exchanged greetings with the new students. Addressing the students, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Hossain Uddin Shekhar said, “You will never feel lonely after leaving your family and coming to study at the university.” You are not alone here. The university administration will be by your side like a guardian. At this time, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Hossain Uddin Shekhar urged the students to study attentively and not indulge in dirty politics. In addition, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Hossain Uddin Shekhar, announcing zero tolerance for ragging, said that if any of the freshmen are victims of any kind of ragging, they will directly inform the proctor. We will not tolerate any kind of ragging. My door is always open to students. Deans of various faculties, chairmen of the relevant departments, and teachers were present at the events to welcome the new students.
