Free Health Camp at GSTU

A free health camp has been organized at Gopalganj Science and Technology University (GSTU) to mark the first anniversary of the July Revolution. The Society for Assistance to Hearing Impaired Children (SAHIK), a specialized hospital for ear, nose and throat, provided all-round support to the health camp organized by the university administration. Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Hossain Uddin Shekhar and Treasurer Professor Dr. Mohammad Nazmul Ahsan inaugurated the health camp at the university’s medical center on Tuesday (July 29) at 10:30 am. The day-long health camp activities continued till 5 pm. Services were provided by renowned ear, nose and throat doctors Dr. MA Samad, Dr. Muhammad Wali Ullah and Dr. Nazmus Shakib. In the camp, free consultations and prescriptions were provided to teachers, students, officers and employees, along with medicines worth about 1.5 lakh taka. Earlier, in memory of the July martyrs, the university administration organized a free health camp with 8 specialist doctors from the Bangladesh Lung Foundation on July 25. Where 380 people, including teachers, students, officers and employees, received free services. They were provided with medicines worth about two lakh taka. Regarding the organization of the health camp, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Hossain Uddin Shekhar said, “The university administration has taken this initiative for everyone, including students, in memory of the martyrs of the July Revolution.” Along with consultancy, some medicines have also been provided.We will try to continue such events in the future.
