Kindergarten Association’s human chain in Gazaria

Demanding that kindergarten students participate in the exam by eliminating discrimination in the scholarship exam in grade 5 in primary schools Teachers, guardians and students formed a human chain and submitted a memorandum in Gazaria, Munshiganj. The Gazaria Upazila Kindergarten Association organized this hour-long program in front of the main gate of the Upazila Parishad on Thursday (July 24) at around 10:30 am. More than 700 teachers, guardians, and students from 50 institutions in the upazila participated in it. Later, a memorandum was submitted to the Upazila Nirbahi Officer for submission to the Chief Advisor. The human chain was moderated by Qamruzzaman Russell, Joint Secretary of Gazaria Upazila Kindergarten Association, and was addressed by Fazlul Haque Nayan, President of Gazaria Upazila Kindergarten Association, Advisors Dulal Mia, Moazzem Hossain, Omar Faruk, Vice President Abu Zafar Bhutto, Organizing Secretary Monir Hossain, Education Affairs Secretary Tapan Chandra Mallick, Treasurer Abdul Jalil, Publicity Secretary Saidul Islam. District BNP convening committee member and former general secretary of Upazila BNP Ishaq Ali, Gazaria Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami general secretary Shahjahan Sikder, Gazaria Kalim Ullah Honors College branch Chhatra Dal former president Nurul Amin Sarkar and many others also spoke at the event. At the time, the speakers said that according to the government decision, only students from government schools will be able to participate in the scholarship exam, which is clear discrimination. This is hindering the intellectual development of a large portion of the country. If the demands are not met, strict measures will be announced in the future. Guardian Nurul Alam said, “There are attempts to silence a large section of the nation whose backbone is education.” Organizing scholarship exams without including kindergarten students means jeopardizing the education of talented children. The government’s decision must be changed immediately. Otherwise, we will protest on the streets. Association President Fazlul Haque Nayan said, “On July 17, only government school students have been given the opportunity under the ministry’s directive.” “Two policies cannot be followed in one country. About 1,000 students in Trishal will be affected by this.” After the human chain, the memorandum was handed over to the Chief Advisor and Upazila Executive Officer Ashraful Alam. Teachers, students and guardians of various kindergarten schools in Gazaria Upazila were present at the time.
