National Citizen Party (NCP) convener Nahid Islam has sought harmony and unity among all anti-fascist forces. He said, we do not want the politics of division. Mujibism constitution should be abolished and a new constitution should be made; where there will be no discrimination.

He said these things at the NCP’s July march held in Rangamati today (Sunday, July 20).

Highlighting the reality of the hills, Nahid Islam said, discrimination has been maintained in the hills for a long time. This discrimination should be ended by taking all hill and Bengalis along.

At the same time, NCP’s main organizer (northern region) Sarjis Alam said, let there be a fight of words with words, this is the political culture. But attacks, vandalism of stages or fire in response to words are signs of fascism. If the elders belittle and despise the youth, then it will be understood that they are no longer in a position to teach.

He said, “Our politics will continue, life will continue. But we have to keep the biodiversity of our mountains alive. No one should be able to use the mountains for personal or family interests. No one should be able to disrupt your way of life by giving temporary benefits.”
