NCP joint chief organizer and Chittagong region supervisor Jobairul Hasan Arif gave this information at a press conference at the Chottogram Press Club on Thursday (July 17) afternoon.
He said that the two-day march program in Chottogram, Cox’s Bazar, Rangamati, Bandarban and Khagrachari has been finalized. After the march in Cox’s Bazar, the leaders will go to Bandarban on Saturday afternoon and return to Chottogram from there at night.
After the program in Rangamati on Sunday morning, the leaders will return to Chottogram by noon and the march will start at 3:30 pm from the head of Kaptai Road in the city. From there, the march will pass through Bahaddarhat, Chawkbazar, Andarkilla, New Market and Tiger Pass and end at Biplob Udyan in Gate No. 2 area. However, the schedule may change due to traffic jams or unavoidable reasons.
Jobairul said that after the recent incident in Gopalganj, there is a fear of an attack in Chittagong as well. He said, we are afraid, so the law enforcement agencies have been informed. If an attack is attempted, the revolutionary students and people of Chottogram will resist it.
He also said, Awami League is no longer silent, this is a manifestation of our political failure. We are thinking anew about security.
Local leaders including NCP joint chief organizer Emon Syed, youth wing central organizer Tipu Sultan were also present at the press conference.
