Deep tube well installation for Bihari community in Kurmitola camp

A deep tube well was inaugurated for the Bihari community living in Kurmitola Bihari camp, Section 12, Dhaka Mirpur on Saturday, July 12 at 12 noon. The chief guest at the inauguration ceremony of the said deep tube well was Mr. Osama Jalal, Country Director (FOH) of the United States of America in Bangladesh and HID Officer. Also present were (FOH) USA and Honorable President of Paddlers of Humanity Mr. Ahmed Abdul Karim Jangda, (FOH) USA Vice President Gontarik Malhans, Secretary General Mr. Syed Nayar Alam, (FOH) USA and Mrs. Nala Ahmed CFO (FOH) USA and Afsan Zahid, (FOH) USA Board Director and Donor and local dignitaries. The residents of the camps from the Bihari community have called for the immediate construction of 08-10 more deep tube wells for pure drinking water and clean toilets in the area. They have urged (FOH) USA to come forward with this arrangement to save the lives of the camp residents from various diseases. At the same time, HID Executive Director Harman-ur-Rashid said that (FOH) USA has provided exemplary clean drinking water and water supply to the camps of the Urdu speaking people of Bangladesh. No other NGO has done so far. I extend my sincere greetings and thanks to USA.
