It is difficult to find the answer to the question of how many people live without dreams. However, people survive by capitalizing on dreams. Yet, there may be a child lying helpless on the street next to us. It seems like they don’t have the right to dream. Children have the greatest right to live or to dream. Every child has the right to paint their own world with their own brush. But the colors of their hearts seem to be fading under the impact of poverty. Maybe that child doesn’t know what a dream is.
Jagannath University Chhatra Dal leader Rony is working to make the dreams of all such children come true. Something needs to be done about the children. It was from this desire that his school for street children was born. Rony, joint convener of Jagannath University Chhatra Dal, said, “While chatting, I saw many children selling flowers and water.” Looking at these, I thought, “We are so happy.” I studied at the highest university in Bangladesh. Yet there are countless disadvantaged children around us. Something must be done for these children. With this in mind, by keeping the ideals of martyred President Ziaur Rahman in mind, we decided to provide primary lessons three days a week to street children deprived of educational opportunities, in addition to serving the helpless and distressed people. About 21 street children study at the evening school in the grounds of the current Azimpur Government Colony. This course by Chhatra Dal leader Rony started immediately after the Corona pandemic. He runs this school by saving his own money. Occasionally, new books are distributed. Bengali, English, and mathematics are taught in school. Chhatra Dal leader Rony wants to fulfill the dreams of countless underprivileged children. It is impossible to change the country without education. For this, education must be expanded. May no child suffer from lack of education. He is moving forward with such a dream.
