Two youths died after falling from the roof of a moving train in Akhaura, Brahmanbaria while making a video. The accident occurred at around 11 am on Wednesday (April 2) in the Mogra Railway Bridge area of ​​the upazila. Two more youths were seriously injured in the incident.

The two deceased are Abdul Qayyum Mia (22), son of Abdul Karim Mia of Debidwar upazila of Comilla, and Tarek Mia (20), a resident of Kasba upazila of Brahmanbaria. The injured are Ikram Hossain (18) and Billal Mia (25) of Kasba.

The Sylhet-bound Paharika Express train, which left Chittagong, passed Gangasagar railway station in Akhaura at around 11 am today. When the train reached the Mogra Railway Bridge area of ​​Akhaura, four youths on the roof of the passenger compartment of the train stood up and started making a video. The three youths were making a video of one person together. At that time, they fell from the roof of the train after getting entangled in the dish antenna wire passing over the railway line.

One person named Qayyum Mia died on the spot. Local people rescued three injured people. Two were taken to Akhaura Upazila Health Complex and one to Brahmanbaria General Hospital. Another person named Tarek Mia died on the way to the hospital.

Bangladesh Railway has issued additional warnings and instructions to the concerned parties so that no one can climb on the roof of passenger trains.
It is worth noting that traveling on the roof of trains is very risky and completely illegal. There is a possibility of serious accidents and loss of life at any time. For this reason, the railway authorities have always issued cautionary instructions not to travel on the roof of trains. However, some overly enthusiastic passengers try to travel on the roof illegally. This often results in fatalities.
