Panic is prevailing among ordinary businessmen due to a conflict between two groups of Awami League-affiliated businessmen at the Amir Complex shopping complex in Uttara, the capital.
The rivalry between two groups in the shopping complex called Banik Kalyan Samiti is now public.
The Merchants’ Welfare Association, which used to provide relief to traders, has now become a source of panic among ordinary traders. The general businessmen are demanding that the Awami League allies be expelled and a new committee be formed by holding quick elections. The shopkeepers of that market say that there are currently two groups in the Uttara Amir Complex, both of whom are allies of the Awami League.
Sultan Ahmed is a friend of the Awami League just as Wahiduzzaman Sujan is. The rest are not their associates and advisors. Businessmen say that the term of the executive committee of the Uttara Amir Complex Merchant Welfare Association has expired earlier.
But due to their dirty tricks, the biennial elections have been suspended for a long time.
One group is trying to exploit the other group by making them allies of the Awami League. Both sides are taking advantage.
Meanwhile, there is intense tension between the two groups. They have filed a general diary against each other at Uttara West Police Station regarding this issue.
This incident has created adverse reactions among ordinary traders. Meanwhile, the name of a person named Osman Gani Shuvo is being repeatedly mentioned by traders in the market. Traders say he was a high-ranking figure in the Awami League. Traders suspect him as the main mastermind of this chaos.

In this regard, the man named Osman Gani Shuvo introduced himself as a lawyer and a teacher.
He told Rajdhani Suprabhat, “I don’t have a shop in this market, but I don’t know why my name came up.”On the other hand, a GD case was filed against Wahiduzzaman Sujan at Uttara Paschim Police Station through Abu Jafar, the manager of a market, with case number 2962.

In this regard, Alam, the owner of Pabna Jewelers, told Rajdhani Suprabhat, “I am Wahiduzzaman Sujan’s man. I am on his panel.”We want to ensure a good market environment. Elections will be held in this market after Eid. In response to whether he is an ally of the Awami League or not, Alam said, “I don’t do politics.” The accusation against me that Habib Hasan took shelter in my shop on August 5th is not true. Despite repeated attempts to contact Sultan Ahmed, the owner of Al Raju Jewelers, regarding this dispute, he could not be reached. Traders in that market say that after talking to other shopkeepers in the market, they learned that a group is creating an unstable situation by fueling the unrest in this peaceful market. More complications may gradually arise in the future with all these committees. Major accidents including fights may occur. The building owner must come forward to talk to both parties to avoid chaos in the market. The market authorities have no choice but to come forward to resolve the dispute between the Business Welfare Association and create an electoral environment by discussing with both parties and calming the heated atmosphere.
Ordinary businessmen believe that the only way to solve this problem is to hold early elections.
Ordinary businessmen are seeking the intervention of the administration in this regard.
