The Comilla University Journalists’ Association (CoUJA) successfully organized an Iftar Mahfil. On Tuesday, March 18, the Iftar Mahfil took place in the seminar room of the Faculty of Business Administration at the university. During the event, the central mosque’s Imam, Maulana Khalilur Rahman, conducted the prayer and supplication. Presided over by the association’s president, Sayed Hasan. The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Dr. Md. Hayder Ali, attended as the chief guest. Special guests included Treasurer Professor Dr. Mohammad Solaiman, former President of the Teachers’ Association (Sikkhok Somiti) Professor Dr. Md. Abu Taher, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Associate Professor of the Archaeology Department Dr. Muhammad Sohrab Uddin, Head of the English Department Professor Dr. M. M. Shariful Karim, Professor of the Economics Department Dr. Qazi Mohammad Kamal Uddin, Head of the Accounting and Information Systems Department Professor Dr. Md. Belal Uddin, Professor Dr. Biswajit Chandra Dev, Head of the Physics Department Professor Dr. Sajal Chandra Majumdar, Head of the Mass Communication and Journalism Department Mahmudul Hasan Rahat, Head of the Law Department Md. Ali Morshad Kazem, Provost of Kazi Nazrul Islam Hall Md. Harun, Provost of Bijoy-24 Hall Mahmudul Hasan Khan, along with former Presidents of ‘CoUJA’ Muhammad Shafiullah, Mahiyuddin Mahi, Motiur Rahman, former and current members of the association, students, staff, and activists from various organizations. The chief guest, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Haider Ali, remarked, “I am sincerely grateful to the Journalists’ Association(CoUJA) for inviting me to this joyful Iftar Mahfil where many teachers, officials, and staff are present in a festive environment.” Treasurer Professor Dr. Mohammad Solaiman added, “The contribution of Comilla University during the July Revolution will remain unforgettable. I hope our journalist friends will continue to play a special role by presenting accurate information.” After the speeches by the guests, the President of the Journalists’ Association, Said Hasan, expressed his gratitude and thanks to everyone in attendance.
