The 12-member 6th Central Executive Committee of Naogaon Blood Circle has been announced for a one-year term, with Nahid Hasan elected as the president and Rizvi Ahmed Rizwan as the general secretary. The organization’s advisor, Kazi Mohiuddin Alamgir, announced the committee at the Shaheed Minar square after the seven-day Amar Ekushey Book Fair on Friday (February 21) at the end of the Free Blade Grouping campaign at the KD Government High School premises in Ratech town. The elected committee includes Tariqul Islam, Saad Hussain and Tarek Hasan Alif as vice-presidents, Mir Ragib Masum as joint general secretary, Abrar Rakin as organizing secretary, Alamin as co-organizing secretary, Rahad Hasan Akash as finance secretary, Russell Mia as publicity secretary, Nazmul Hasan as office secretary and Nur Mohammad Rafi as executive member. At that time, the advisors of Naogaon Blood Circle, including Advocate Kazi Atiqur Rahman, Dr. Abdul Matin, Advocate Abdul Muyid, Sayeed Jobayed Anik, Arman Hossain Rumon, and Muhammad Farhad Alam, a member of the Standing Observer Committee, were present. Nahid Hasan, the newly elected president of Naogaon Blood Circle, said that since 2017, Naogaon Blood Circle has been working to raise blood donation awareness and promote positive youth development in Naogaon. So far, our members have donated blood to more than 5,500 patients. In addition to blood donation awareness, we have been conducting various service activities including improving the quality of life of street children, tree plantation and cleanliness drives to protect the environment, free medical services, anti-drug campaigns, and disaster relief assistance. If the wealthy extend their support, this program can be carried out on a larger scale.
