In the press conference, Shahjahan Ali said, I have been doing mainstream politics of BNP since the beginning of my political life.  I fled for a long time, leaving my wife and children for fear of repression, torture, torture, assault and lawsuits by the previous fascist government.  I stayed in hiding for a long time to escape the political harassment of the fascist Awami League.  Still, I did not destroy the political ideals of BNP.  I have carried out the party program of BNP despite various threats.  Risking my life, I was elected member secretary of Madankhali Union BNP convening committee in 2023 and performed my duties.  Due to my organizational skills and popularity, I was elected to the post of General Secretary in the Council of the Union BNP in Kadirabad High School Ground of Upazila on February 9.  District and upazila BNP leaders and activists were present in the council along with 459 councillors.   Jealous of my victory, rival candidate Zahidul Islam Zahid is engaged in trying to tarnish the image of me and BNP.  Besides, he edited my picture and showed it in the procession of the Farmers League.  I strongly condemn and protest his inaction, motivated, false and fabricated news.
