Boro (Ufshi variety) paddy planting program was inaugurated at Kushtia Kumarkhali in financial year 2024-25 (season 2024-25 season) with the aim of implementing Samalaya cultivation under the Agricultural Incentive Program through Reich Transplanter.

Kumarkhali Upazila Agriculture Officer Agriculturist Raisul Islam presided over the function organized by Upazila Agriculture Extension Directorate at Buzruk Banki area of Nandalalpur Union, Kumarkhali Upazila on Monday 27 January afternoon.
Kushtia District Agriculture Extension Directorate Deputy Director Sufi Md. Rafikuzzaman spoke as the chief guest on the occasion.

Kushtia District Additional Deputy Director of Agriculture (Horticulture) Agriculturist Tipu Sultan, Kumarkhali Upazila Fisheries Officer Mahmudul Hasan, Animal Resources Officer Alamgir Hossain and others spoke as special guests.

Kumarkhali Upazila Assistant Extension Officer and Sub-Assistant Agriculture Officer, Farmer Journalists and Sudhibrinda were present at this time. Kumarkhali Upazila Assistant Agriculture Officer Bijan Kumar Biswas conducted the program.
