Among the Ayard owners who have been affected by the acquisition of land in Uttara by RAJUK,

those whose security deposit has been deposited with RAJUK should be allotted plots in the affected category.
Otherwise, a strict agitation program will be carried out. Along with this, the order to transfer the Uttara Zonal Office of RAJUK from Uttara to the Motijheel RAJUK head office should be canceled.

In 1998, the land owners who were affected by RAJUK in Uttara have not yet been allotted plots after depositing the security deposit along with the award, which is very inhumane behavior. During the acquisition of land in Uttara, RAJUK said that plots would be allotted only if there is 5 katha of land. But after the acquisition of land, different laws are being shown regarding the amount of land, which is not desirable.
He said these things while addressing a human chain and protest rally in front of the RAJUK Zonal Office in Sector 6, Uttara, organized by the Uttara Affected Ayard Owners Association on Thursday afternoon.

The event was presided over by the organization’s president Afaz Uddin, and speeches were delivered by Jamal Uddin, Chan Mia Bepari, Abdus Salam, Harun Rashid Khoka, Monir Hossain, Manjurul Karim, Anwara Begum, Ekhlas Mia, Aftab Uddin, Mughal Bhuiyan, Saiful Islam Dulal, Abu Sayem Sumon, Amir Hossain, Sohel Islam, and others.

Thousands of residents of Uttara Turag participated in the human chain. The speakers also warned that strict action would be taken if the affected Ayard owners were not allotted plots and the Uttara Zonal Office was shifted to Motijheel.

After the human chain program, a memorandum was submitted to the Housing and Public Works Advisor, the Secretary of the Ministry, and the Chairman of RAJUK.
