Extortionist posing as (DB/NSI) arrested by Kotwali police station
Police have arrested two people on charges of extortion by impersonating National Security Intelligence Agency (NSI) officers. At this time, a walkie-talkie and a used Suzuki brand motorcycle and cash were seized from them. Police arrested them from Laldighi area of Chittagong city on Monday (January 20) afternoon.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kotwali police station Md. Abdul Karim said, “Two people have been arrested while trying to extort by impersonating detective officers. The case in this regard is under process. After the process, they will be sent to court.
The two arrested are Md. Jumman and Md. Firoz (20). They were arrested from Loyal Road of Kotwali police station. According to sources, they are involved in extortion in different areas under Kotwali police station.
