2 people who shot and killed students and the public during the anti-discrimination student movement have been arrested.

Based on a secret information, a drive was conducted from the Signal Beparipara Shyamoli residential area under Chandgaon police station, Chandgaon Police Station Case No.-15, Date-19/08/2024 AD;, Section-143/147/
148/149/302/34 Penal Code, accused 1. Ribhu Majumdar (27) (Chhatra League cadre armed), 2. Md. Jamal (40) (Jubli League cadre armed), was able to arrest a smart team of the police station.

The drive was conducted at 3 pm on January 20th. SI Nurul Hakim, SI Zayed Abdullah Bin Sarwar, SI Md. Faisal, SI Momtaz Alam and accompanying force of Chandgaon Police Station participated in the drive.

In multiple stills and video footage, the two defendants are seen playing an active role in the killing of students by shooting at them during the student movement against discrimination.
