A discussion and prayer was held on the recovery of Begum Khaleda Zia and the memory of the martyrs of July-August at the former district college auditorium on Wednesday night, organized by Joydebpur East Baruda BNP of Ward No. 28 of Gazipur City Corporation. The prayer program was moderated by Md. Shahjahan Siraj, assistant headmaster of Omeda Girls High School, and Md. Afzal Hossain Kaiser, former chairman of Gazipur Sadar Upazila and former vice-president of Gazipur District and Metropolitan BNP, was present as the chief guest. The main speaker was Md. Hasan Ajmal Bhuiyan, former councilor of Ward No. 28 of the City Corporation, the special guests were Syed Akhtaruzzaman, former vice-president of Gazipur Metropolitan BNP, Md. Mokhlesur Rahman, former general secretary of Gazipur District Jubo Dal, Benazir Ahmed, former vice-president of Gazipur Sadar Upazila Krishak Dal, Advocate Labib Uddin Siddiqui of Bangladesh Supreme Court and Judge Court Gazipur, Alhaj Khandaker Manjurul Karim, general secretary of Baruda Central Jame Mosque, Mamunur Rashid, former general secretary of 28 No. Ward BNP, Advocate Salauddin Ruhul, President of Baruda Market Committee Md. Saheb Ali, senior teacher of BRTC Public School Md. Jasim Uddin, proprietor of Mahbub Pharmacy Mozammel Haque and other dignitaries of the area.
Rafiq Uddin, former general secretary of the Gazipur Municipal Youth Party, was in charge of the overall management of the prayer and the program.
